Calicarpa bodinieri Profusion

Height: 0,6–0,8 m

Beautyberry is a deciduous shrub that grows to a height of 1.5-2m and up to 1.5m in width. The leaves are dark green, and in autumn turn red. The flowers are purple-pink, bloom from June to August, and in autumn develop into bright purple fruits in clusters. It likes a sunny spot and well-structured, nutritious soil. Water needs are moderate. Beautyberry produces flowers and fruit on the current year's shoots, so thorough pruning in late winter or early spring is worthwhile to encourage the plant to take a bushier shape and produce more fruit. It is recommended to plant 2-3 plants next to each other to achieve a more spectacular effect, but it also looks lovely in combination with other plants.
